THE MD ANDERSON PROJECT

The MD Anderson guitar is the inaugural Art Guitar Project of Sigurdson Guitars.  Considering the enormous popularity of the holiday cards created by the pediatric cancer patients at MD Anderson Cancer Center, it seemed only natural that a custom guitar, hand-pained by those same children would make a highly sought-after auction item.  The MD Anderson Art Guitar has already generated much buzz and numerous contributors have jumped on board to be a part of the unique project.

Construction of the guitar is nearly complete.  On July 19th, of 2007, The pediatric patients at MD Anderson brought their spirit to the guitar when they created a One-Of-A-Kind masterpiece on the guitar's base.

After finishing touches are applied to preserve the artwork's beauty, the guitar will be on display the the MD Anderson Store in The Houston Medical Center.  It is slated to be auctioned at a later date with all the proceeds donated to the MD Anderson Children's Cancer Center.
